Welcome to stichting museum Canadian Allied Forces
Located in Groningen is a museum dedicated to the liberation of the Northern Netherlands and Groningen in particular. The name is derived from the Canadian liberators, who were advancing from the south, which was already liberated in 1944, to free the non-liberated part of the Netherlands above the large rivers.
Groningen as a last bastion where the occupied forces joined for a final battle has left its traces, both physically and in minds. The museum attempts to portray all these facets of the second world war.
